We Are Refugee Sponsors

WelcomePattern is a 501(c)3 non-profit in Zionsville, Indiana.

In response to the global refugee crisis, we help immigrant families regain hope and start again in the Indianapolis area.

What is sponsorship?

A group of friends who live in the same area work together to support an immigrant family when they arrive. The group helps newcomers by providing for immediate basic needs. They also help them establish long term patterns of independence, health and well-being. They orient newcomers to life in the United States and connect them to local resources for education, housing, employment, medical care, and transportation.

In 2025, Welcome Pattern also partnered with community partners to bring English Language Learner classes to Boone County. This program has filled a need in our community with more than 100 students registering in our first semester!

Sponsorship is a community-driven pattern of welcoming and caring that benefits all involved.

100% of your donations go directly to help refugees.

WelcomePattern is an all volunteer organization.

We have no paid staff.

All funds and goods donated go directly to help with newcomers' various needs. Your donations are tax deductible.

Who We're Sponsoring

Since late 2024, we've sponsored and helped families from Venezuela and Afghanistan. These families have arrived, learned English, made friends, started jobs, acquired driver's licenses, and achieved many other milestones (including a new baby born here!). It's been thrilling to be a part of their journeys. Read more about each family by clicking below.
